A NEW INTERIOR. A CONSISTENT APPROACH.
LIGHTING FOR AN INDUSTRIAL-INSPIRED STORE DESIGN
The Jack & Jones store at Fisketorvet in Copenhagen was renovated to introduce a new retail concept across more than 500 sqm. Raw aluminium gives the interior an industrial character, and the lighting needed to complement this while keeping attention on the clothing.
It also had to reflect the established visual identity of Jack & Jones, even within a larger retail space.
BALANCING PRODUCT FOCUS AND VISUAL COMFORT
The lighting brief centred on creating an inviting retail atmosphere while directing attention towards the displays. On top of that, the reflective surfaces made glare and visual comfort important considerations in the selection and positioning of luminaires.
LIK Lighting joined the project after the technical drawings had been completed, working with the interior design team on the lighting design and product selection.

LIK was responsible for the lighting design and supply, from developing the lighting scheme through to product delivery. The approach followed the established principles used across Jack & Jones stores, maintaining continuity with the brand's wider retail concept.
ECO Spot track luminaires were selected as the primary lighting solution, with reflector optics providing controlled, directional light for the store’s clothing displays.
Colour rendering was also an important consideration, with CRI 90 specified to support accurate colour representation.
This solution brings together product-focused lighting and visual comfort while respecting the industrial character of the interior.
